Professor Dora Akunyili was relevant in different ways to several people. She made her way to limelight among many Nigerians when she became Director of NAFDAC during President Olusegun Obasanjo's Regime. Her impact can never be forgotten by many Nigerians. Here is what her daughter wrote on Facebook concerning her.

"To many, she was an icon, to others, she was an inspiration, to me, she
was my mother and all of the above. What I told her just last week stays
with me. “I am your daughter, and you raised me, you have been (in the
midst of everything), mummy and that is the strength that is now mine
and all of us your children. it is also the strength of a whole
nation…you touched so many lives, and that is a blessing that must not
be taken lightly.” Thank you all so much my dear friends from the bottom
of my heart for your kind words. Mummy, may your soul rest in eternal

One question I have for all is "What will people say about you when you finally leave this world"
One message I have for all through her death, especially our politicians is "You came to this world with nothing, You will leave this world with nothing" why not live right and think less of the cares of this world
